Marco Baumgartner, Switzerland - Founder & Producer
Ismail Stork, Malaysia - Organizer & Promoter
Both guys are not ordinary men. Both have chosen a different lifestyle as most of the people. Marco grew up around a family of circus performers, and made his debut performance as a juggler when he was only thirteen. Throughout his entire youth, Marco traveled around the world with various circus artists and soon caught the circus fever. However, he did not immediately start his career in the circus as his parents insisted that he get a “real” job. Trained as a graphic designer, he became an apprentice for a couple of years before deciding to explore new horizons. Deciding that he wanted a more carefree life, he obtained a job as a flight attendant with Swissair so that he could travel round the world. During that time he worked together with Ismail Stork, the owner of Le Tresor, who was a flight attendant too at that time. It was during this time that Marco realized that a career in the circus was what he had been longing for. This was when he conceptualized the idea of building a circus in Asia. After a period of intensive market research, he settled upon setting up his first show in Singapore and that was how Swiss Dream Circus was born. Together with his close friend clown Andre which also comes on tour with them, one of the most successful Swiss clown, he realized this dream in the year 2000.
After several years having a great time as a flight attendant, Ismail started his own business. Being the sole owner of his company Le Tresor he is also responsible for the weekend street market at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara and three concept stores namely Petite Tresor @ the Curve, Le Tresor Galleria @ Wangsa Walk Mall and the flagship store - Le Grand Tresor @ The Atria, Damansara. He has been organizing and creating special events for many years and was happy to bring with his long year friend Marco the Swiss Dream Circus to Malaysia in 2014 & 2015. After the great success, they have decided to bring the circus back to Malaysia in 2017.
